Enrollment has opened for Northwood University’s DeVos Graduate School’s 24-month Online MBA program. Designed to cater to working professionals, the online degree program enables students to earn their Master’s Degrees in Business Administration entirely online without ever visiting a physical university campus or sitting in a classroom. This degree of flexibility will allow students to perform to their maximum potential as both working professionals and graduate students, giving them a greater opportunity for success in both areas. The first online DeVos Graduate School courses begin in January 2015.
The online MBA classroom will allow students to engage with faculty, use discussion boards, do small group activities and share content. The freedom of an online education allows students to balance the demands of work, family and study in whatever way works best for the individual. The online degree program will offer the same content, faculty, and rigorous academic standards as Northwood University’s traditional graduate degree programs.
The DeVos Graduate School online degree program will require students to maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average while completing 36 semester hours of credit. This means that, in order to complete their online degree, students must complete 6 courses per year, or 12 in total.
For students enrolled in the Northwood University online degree program, time spent studying, completing assignments, and engaging in discussion and collaboration with classmates should add up to between 15 and 20 hours a week. Students will only have to focus on one course at a time in one subject area. Each online course will build on knowledge obtained in previous courses and contribute to the student’s success in his or her career.
Those who graduate with online degrees, receive official, traditional diplomas from Northwood University. Diplomas and transcripts from the online university will not differ from those of students who earn their degrees by attending programs at traditional brick and mortar universities.
Northwood University also has two full service, residential campuses located in southern Florida and mid-Michigan. The private, nonprofit university specializes in managerial and entrepreneurial education. Courses for Adult Degree Programs are also offered online.
The most obvious benefit to getting an online education from an entirely online university is time flexibility. The student decides when to complete the assignments and engage in needed discussions with fellow students and faculty, and has plenty of time to fulfill other obligations.
